Kids tap everything. The YouTube logo on a video opens YouTube, and apps aren't allowed to hide it. Here's how to keep your child in COONI. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Accessibility, then Guided Access. Turn it on, and set a passcode your child doesn't know. Each time your child watches, open COONI from your home screen. Triple-click the side button, and tap Start. Guided Access keeps the screen in COONI. To finish, triple-click again, and enter your code. On Android, open Settings, search for pin, and turn on App pinning. Turn on Ask for PIN before unpinning, too. Each time, open COONI, then open recent apps. Tap the COONI icon at the top, then tap Pin. To unpin, swipe up and hold, then enter your PIN. Computers have no simple lock. If the logo opens YouTube in a new tab, COONI pauses, and says welcome back when your child comes back. You can find these steps any time, in Parent Mode, under Settings.

- COONI in action: How COONI filters YouTube for children, shown in the real app with a voice-over: allow the channels you trust, block a channel that is not for kids, hide a single video and keep the channel, filter topics such as brainrot and Halloween everywhere, and set a daily limit, allowed hours and a timer.
- How to add COONI to your home screen: Step by step, with a voice-over and captions: put COONI on the home screen of an iPhone or iPad (Safari), an Android phone or tablet (Chrome), or a computer (Chrome, Edge or Safari on Mac), so it opens like an app.
